After entertaining Hindi speaking audience with Shahid Kapoor-Kiara Advani starrer Kabir Singh, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga is reported to be signing yet another superstar and bankable actor of Bollywood, Ranbir Kapoor for his forthcoming venture. As per reports in Mid Day,  a source spilling the beans gave out deets about this venture, which has really got us excited. If the Brahmastra actor gives a nod, he will be seen portraying a dark role on screen. News was out in the publication on the completion of Kabir Singh’s one year of its release.

A source informed Mid-Day that the movie is titled as Devil and will be much more intense than Kabir Singh, putting this movie under A certification as well, mentions the source. Also if the actor happens to sign on the dotted lines for this Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s venture, it will be the actor’s career defining film adds the source. Along with this movie being a pivotal turn in the actor’s career it is also speculated to garner more criticism then Shahid Kapoor’s Kabir Singh, keeping in the mind RK’s on screen role.

There were also rumours of the Kabir Singh director planning to rope in Baahubali famed star Prabhas for it, but the source of the publication termed it false. The director-actor duo is scheduled to meet in August; they had met earlier in September 2019, but the actor asked for a full bound script before he gives a nod. A source informed, "It's not true. Ranbir hasn't given up on the film. It's a dark role that Ranbir has never attempted before. However, before signing the film, Ranbir wants to read the full bound script. The next meeting is scheduled in August." 


Also as per reports, the actor has discussed this flick with Ayan Mukerji who is his close friend.  Ayan also feels Devil will be the actor’s most important flick of his career.
